“THE HAPPENING”

AROUND THE CORNER AND DOWN THE HALL

April snow showers bring May flowers.  At least Mother Nature is now "thinking" about summer... and we're still not the 51st state.  Thank you very much!

Its hard to believe our website is already 6 months old.  Of course it continues to be a work in progress.  We really want to add more testimonials and pictures!
Your anecdotes give real insight to our high school life.  So we hope to go "on the road" again with camera in hand in the coming months.  We'll also be sending out an update email very soon.  We really hope those who were hesitant to join at first will reconsider.  As the old saying goes, you only get out of it what you put into it.  Right?

We are pleased to announce five students have qualified for the very first Jacob Leigh Calnek Scholarship.  The bursary will be awarded on June 20 and Leigh and Georgette Calnek are expected to be in attendance.  Fantastic!

A wee procrastination apology is warranted.   We said we would try and replicate those old, gold sweatshirts many of us wore back in the day.  Well, we're not quite there yet but we are still trying.  The logo design costs a fair bit as we want to be authentic, as well as ensure we have the proper gold colour.  To that end, if you prefer gold coloured merchandise, we'll do our best to try and get it for you.

Hey - anyone remember these?

That's it for our May Newsletter.  Short and sweet. And yes, don't forget to keep an eye on your inbox..

Lastly, you don't have go out of the way to be the best human ever... but a little smile, sharing a laugh, or complimenting someone can make all the difference in the world.

Until next time...

"Cowboys in the old west used to hang lanterns on their saddles at night to help them find their way home.

This was an early form of saddle night navigation."
