AROUND THE CORNER AND DOWN THE HALL
“No more pencils, no more books
No more teachers, dirty looks
Out for summer, out 'til fall
We might not come back at all,
School's out for summer… school’s out forever”.
Alice Cooper 1972
How many of us remember that song? For the many students currently attending Gladmar Regional School, we wish you a very safe and enjoyable summer.
For those who have just graduated – good luck, and don’t forget to put your best foot forward in everything you do. You have left a lasting legacy.
The first annual Jacob Leigh Calnek Scholarship was handed out on Wednesday, June 18 by former Principal Leigh Calnek and his wife Georgette. The deserving recipient is Colton Lunde of Gladmar. Unexpectedly, Leigh and Georgette increased the bursary from $500.00 to $1,000. THANK YOU both for your amazing generosity. GRHSAA would also like to acknowledge and thank the Awards Committee of Chris Abtosway, Michael Fulmes, Patricia Leatherdale, Marilyn Zimmerman, and Garth Melle for their guidance and support. Well done, Colton!!

Last month we told you we have those old, gold sweatshirts many of us wore back in the day. They are now available to purchase from the merchandise section on our website.
Yes, it’s summer… and the living is easy.
Best wishes to each and everyone of you. Enjoy your time off – whether it be at the lake or traveling in the RV or even chilling out at home… stay safe and have fun with family and friends.
The Newsletter is also taking the summer off. So that’s it for now.
Until next time...
